Hi my name is Malcolm James, owner of Carpets Plus Curtains, 39 Crawford Street, Dunedin.

I have been involved in the commercial and retail floorcovering business for 35 years and have extensive knowledge of all types of floor coverings. Thus I am considered a wise man by many.

We offer the latest products in our showroom and have a staff of experienced people to help advise, offer solutions and discuss budget requirements with you.

Greg Duerden is the go to man for floorcoverings, Greg started his time in the floorcovering trade as an apprentice installer for Arthur Barnett in 1971. Over the preceding years Greg had been contracting both domestic and commercial flooring installations` with his own team of tradesmen, two of Gregs apprentices went on to win national apprentiship awards. Hence Greg has qualified as the wise man of floorcoverings.

Complimentry to the carpet showroom is the fabric and blind showroom with a large range of samples to choose from. Once again my staff are very capable of assisting you with your requirements. We offer a free measure and quote for all drapes and blinds and once a decision is made these can all be made here on the premises by our team of experienced sewers.

Greg Platt is our go to man for window coverings. Greg started his time with the legendary Jim Brown formerly of Active Furnishings, more than 25 years ago, having been trained by one of the most respected window covering experts in New Zealand Greg reckons he is now getting the hang of the window covering trade. Thus he qualifies as the wise man of window coverings.

Then there are our saleswomen. Vanetta Rosenberg and Vicki Hastie, when wise men need backup Vanetta and Vicki bring dedicated customer service to the fore.

Wendy Williamson is our workroom supervisor and a more dilligent and consciensous person you will find hard to meet. Wendy runs a tight and contented workroom and has a happy group of six women working with her to turn out the curtains and roman blinds that CarpetPlus Curtians sells.

Our floorcoverings installation team is also six strong made up of Gary Wilson, Justin King, Adam McLay, Jessie Guy, (yes Jessie is a female) Kerry Burns, Cory Dodds, and our storeman Warren Gray.
